Junior Church - Sunday school

The MCK Ruaraka is a relatively young church. The majority of members are children, teens and youth who comprise more than fifty percent of the congregation. The church believes in laying a very strong foundation for children in line with teachings of the bible so that “when they grow up, they do not depart from those ways”. Sunday School is taught by volunteer teachers mostly in the teaching profession at their places of work. Some of the teachers belong to Ruaraka church. An elaborate curriculum is developed by the connexional church to guide the ministry across the country and region. Children are nurtured and given an opportunity to grow in a Godly way in line with the church’s belief in developing a holistic human being strong in mind, body and soul. Although children worship in their own classes, the church conducts a “family Service” once a month in which all members worship together so that the children can learn from their parents and other adults. For ease of management, the children are divided into three classes; Joy, Praise and Unity according to ages.
